Algebra Reflection

On my first test I got 3 out of 6 at first my main goal was to be able to use charts to finsh the fencing questions on my first test I had explained how I got my answer but I didnt on my secend. On my second test I got 5 out of 6 I think that the work shops and the test helped me a lot to earn aa better understanding of the questions on my second test I forgot to explain how I got my answer. My strengths now are to complete a pattern and the folding fractions. I think I still need to work on the finshing the fencing questions.

Geometry Reflection - Model Write a reflection on your learning in Geometry. You will need to look at both tests and also be prepared to talk about the workshops you went to, the mathletics tasks you completed, the videos you watched on the site, or anything else that helped you. You may like to use the headings below but you don’t have to. My strengths In geometry my strengths are naming shapes because in both tests I got it all right ,saying the directions like north south east and west in the first test I didn't get it right but the second test I did, drawing the shape that is named because in the test we did It did take me a little bit to figure the first one out but after rethinking what the teacher told I could figure them all out and enlargement because at first I didn’t get it right but after but after the first test a could do them all. What helped me I didn't really go to many workshops because I was with Miss Toon And that helped me with directions and mapping things because what I had to do was make a map the leads from makauri school to the aviation museum. Preparing I prepared myself by listening to the teachers doing mathletics when told not talking to my friends during learning time and asking for help when I needed it. What the teachers did well in, and what they need to work on They did well in preparing mathletics and the sheets we did in the workshops. They made sure to we go to all the workshops if we needed to and sometimes let us go twice to refresh our memory. I think they need to work on explaining things better and showing examples if someone needs it.

 12 things in Mrs S’s / Mr K’s pocket / Sponge Bob Square Pants - Choose an interesting character, who you could use for this piece of writing.

Writing task: 

To think of 12 things that are either in Mr S’s or Mr K’s pocket or  Sponge Bob Square Pants

Focus: Punctuation and Sentences. 

Punctuation Success:

OK: All sentences have capital letters and fullstops. Example: In Sponge Bob’s pockets there was a key. 

There was also a rubber. 

Good: There are a range of other punctuation eg commas, question marks etc    Example In Sponge Bob’s pocket there was a telescope. Why? This is so he could see where he is going. 

Excellent: I can use semicolons in a list. See example below

In Sponge Bob’s pocket you would find: Six crusty old crabby patties, in case he gets lost under the sea; an invite to Patrick Star’s 28th birthday party in case he forgets the address; …….

In Scooby Doo’s pocket you would find: 6 year old Scooby treats in case he gets hungry on a mission; A magnifying glass covered in tomato sauce in case he needs to inspect some food; A hot dog smothered in sauce in case there's no food where he’s at; 5 spare collars in case they rip or get caught on something; Dog armour in case he gets scared of a ghost or monster; A hair net In case he runs out of scooby treats and hot dogs so he needs to cook; A Frisbee in case they get bored; A toy bone so when he’s scared he can chew on it; Fan mail that's 3 years old in case he feels lonely; An invitation to sandy the squirrels 13th birthday party that got lost in the mail and only got 2 weeks ago; A dog jersey in case he gets cold during a mission; A photo of shaggy his best friend in case he forgets what he looks like; Binoculars to look for fishes in the water in case he gets bored.

  I think I did pretty well I used semicolons when ever I needed them I did full stops and capital letters over all I think I did well.
